An Ode to Transience

Everyone should travel. We should all make it a point to step outside our comfort zone often, so often that the habit embeds itself and you crave it. Only with movement can we see where we are; and where we may go.

A good exercise in perspective is to travel to a place vastly foreign from where you came, meet a local and explain your home to them. Once ‘that’s just the way it is’ loses its validity, once you have to drop all the common assumptions you share with everyone around you in everyday life, you can begin to see things for how they really are and not just how you’ve assumed them to be.
