About

When George W. Bush was re-elected I bought a one-way ticket to South America and spent his entire second term living and working in the developing world. Unlike most blogs there is not a thematic thread here, but if you are someone who likes the idea of trading a George W. Bush America for first-hand experience in the developing world then you may enjoy this blog. For some idea, a sample of the most popular posts have been about:

Anti-consumerism;

Monsanto;

Bitcoin & Media Funding;

The Paris Commune

I also regularly freelance for magazines and newspapers, you can check out some samples here

In 2015 I received my MA in Creative Nonfiction from the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England and moved back to New York. I now work in the United Nations press office each fall and spend the rest of year abroad doing free-lance journalism for places like Vice or The Guardian. In 2017 I plan to be based in Venezuela.
